Problem only occurs when renderfarm folder is empty. When it is empty, nautilus throws "could not create XYZ, file XYZ does not exist" error.

It was however possible to mkdir in the renderfarm dir (from terminal.) Once a file or folder exists in the directory there are no problems in windows or linux. If the file/folder is then deleted, the problem re-occurs.

STEPS TO RESOLVE:

# cd ~/mount/renderfarm
# touch .placeholder_file
